Two Little Boys

After a hardy rainstorm filled all the potholes in the streets and alleys, a
young mother watched her two little boys playing in the puddle through her
kitchen window.

The older of the two, a five year old lad, grabbed his sibling by the back of
his head and shoved his face into the water hole. As the boy recovered and stood laughing and dripping, the mother runs to the yard in a panic.

“Why on earth did you do that to your little brother?!” She asks as she shook
the older boy in anger.

“We were just playing church mommy,” he said, “And I was just baptizing
him…..in the name of the Father, the Son and in…the hole-he-goes!”

I have been having issues with my laptop lately. Last weekend I had to save everything, then get out the recovery disc to see is starting over from scratch would help. It didn’t! We are still having issues, and I have no clue what to do. I had originally thought maybe we needed more computer memory, but hubby doesn’t think so. I am ready to call one of the guys he works with to see if he can figure it out. I don’t want to have to take it in somewhere, and then have to leave it, as I need my laptop! I have to many things I do on this and not having it would be an inconvenience, as we all will be fighting over the desktop, just like we did before we got me my laptop.

If so, what excuse did you use to get out of school/work? school I can’t remember, work - I have used my “kids being sick” as an excuse.
What did you do instead of going to school/work? school - slept usually. work - day off to go shopping I think?? (its been a while since I have worked outside of the home)

What one thing HAS to happen before you would consider playing hooky (again)? I guess it would be that I would have to have a job first! LOL

2. I can’t tell you the number of posts I read from bloggers who were going to BlogHer about what sorts of clothes they were going to pack for the trip. If you went (or wanted to go) to BlogHer, describe the outfit you did, or would have, worn for the first day of the conference. Remember, first impressions are everything (most of the time) so you want to impress your blogging buddies. Don’t forget to describe your shoes/accessories! Better yet, link us to your outfit so we can “see” what you’re talking about. Why did you pick this particular ensemble? I didn’t go, but if I did, I would be dressing for comfort.

4. If you could give a single piece of advice to the film industry in Hollywood, what would you say? Clean up the smut!
If you were a powerful film producer, what sorts of films would you produce? Why? I would produce more family friendly movies. why - because there is too much garbage out there!

…get my home office back in order. I was trying to find my order forms for my Pampered Chef business, so I could get them ready for my next party this week, and have no idea where anything is. Ever since I got the laptop, I haven’t been at my desk, this has been taken over by my hubby, and oh my what a mess it is! I know what I will be doing tomorrow in between loads of laundry… cleaning off the desk, in hopes I find the forms I need!

1. Why were you given your particular name? My mom liked the show “Family Affair”, and liked the little boys name “Jody” and decided right there that would be my name, but with an “i” (she was preggo with me at the time).

3. What are you wearing today which is most reflective of who you are? uhhh… I am still in my pj’s, so I guess, “comfy”.

4. Have you ever had a pet that was not a cat or dog? What was it? a goldfish, but not for long, they always died.

5. What type of exercise do you do to keep in shape? Ha! Me and exercise don’t really get along! But when I do exercise, its either walking or riding bikes.

7. Do you enjoy gardening, or working with flowers? I do, I wish I had a bigger back yard so I could have a garden! But for now I am happy to have a little area for my flowers.
