We just got a nice check for some medical reimbursements from my hubby’s work. Now if only we could get some dental discounts as I am wanting to get my teeth fixed. I think it will be only a matter of time before the dentist says that Trent will need to get braces. That will surely put a dent in our wallet! I am not sure in the orthodontist will accept monthly payments like they did back in the day when I had braces. I guess we should start putting away money now so we have the amount we need to cover this expense.

Yoville

I have been having lots of fun playing in yoville on facebook. I can decorate my apartment and houses any way I want, without going broke!! I just redid the front room in my apart with a beach party theme. Fun! I fixed up one of my kitchens, and now searching the stores for some ceramic tiles to fix up the floor.

I didn’t think I would get so addicted to this site, but it has taken over many of my message board obsessions. I am also starting to get addicted to the farm town application as well. I will never get off the computer if they keep adding fun applications like these!

Monday ~ subs, potato salad and peaches

Thursday ~ pizza

Friday ~ not sure yet, as its the start of the holiday weekend and not sure if my FIL will be home from the hospital.

I want a real office, not the make shift one we have in the dining room. So hopefully in our next house we can have a dedicated office room. With that we would need some new office furniture, so I have been browsing the net to see what is out there that I want. And in my own way of actually having an office, I play on yoville and can decorate my house anyway I want without spending a dime! Its lots of fun! Of course John thinks I am nuts, but hey, its saving him lots of money!

1. Where were you when you heard that Michael Jackson died? I was at home. I was browsing the net and saw a post, didn’t believe it at first, so I turned the station to a local one to see if it was on the news.

2. How do you think that he will be remembered? Sadly as a pedophile

3. What was your favorite Jackson tune? Thriller, Beat It, PYT, Billie Jean and more

4. Did you watch the original Charlie’s Angels? Yes

5. Did someone you know have that poster of Farrah? Not that I am aware of

6. Did you consider her battle with cancer heroic? yes

7. Were you a fan of The Tonight Show Starring Johnnie Carson? yes, I stayed up late many a night to watch

8. Did you like Ed McMahon on the show? yes

9. What else will you remember McMahon for? wasn’t he on that Blooper’s show?

Celeb deaths

They say they come in three’s. I didn’t expect 2 of them to happen in one day, let alone all 3 to happen in a 2 day period!

First it was Ed McMahon, the loyal “Tonight” show sidekick who is most known for his famous “H-e-e-e-e-e-ere’s Johnny!” He died early Tuesday at the age of 86. I stayed up late many a nights to watch the Tonight Show. I don’t care so much for the way the show is now, so I am in bed early once again.

Then it was Farrah Fawcett, who was 62. I loved watching her on Charlie’s Angels. I had heard that Ryan O’Neal said she finally agreed to marry him, only a little to late, as she passed away the next day. There will be no wedding invitations for them. I was really sad when I heard she passed.

Then it was Michael Jackson who went into cardiac arrest, and took over the news that left Farrah in the wind. I liked Michael back in the day, but he went off the deep end and that was it for me.

Its been a very strange week.

How was this week different than others? It was a very hot week, plus too many great people died this week.

What do you have planned for this weekend? Today, the beach, tonight hanging out at home. Saturday ~ a final cooking class that is all about BBQ’ing and fellowship. Sunday ~ church ~ we have a film crew coming from Joyce Meyers, so it should be an interesting day, then I have a graduation open house to go to.
