Yay!! I am rejoining the ranks of the working world! I received the phone call last Wednesday asking me how I felt the interview went. I said, “Good, I am hoping.” She said, “Well, I am guessing it went really well, as we want to offer you the job!” Yay!!
Today I had to go and do some health assessment tests, and left out of there with several band aids, from shots and getting some blood drawn. The drug screen process, was a little tricky as my bladder wanted to be “shy” as the tech put it. I was able to go, just not enough to register a temperature reading. So I had to sit around for a while and drink lots of water to try again. Thankfully I was able to succeed on the second try! We finished out the rest of the paper work and I was on my way.
I always get turned around when I leave that hospital. While this one is located in a very nice neighborhood, there were several houses that could really make a phone call to one of those removal places like: Houston Junk removal! I am thinking that maybe, just maybe there was some renovations going on and that is what all of the stuff was in the driveways! If I was brave enough, and if it was during the evening hours, I would have gone “dumpster diving” as I saw a few things that I could have put to good use in my home! Next time maybe!

Have you jumped on the bandwagon yet!? If not, why? This is such a cool site! Its an online bookmark of so many different custom pins that are linked to sites with more information. I have so many different boards made with lots of ideas, recipes, clothes, things for my future, “forever home”, and a honey do list as well!
You just have to make sure you have some time to browse, and not really have anything else to do, as once you start browsing and pinning, before you know it, hours will have gone by! Today, I should have been working on some knitting projects, but while I was waiting for the dryer to stop, I logged on, and wasted an hour! I will admit, I did find a few more new recipes to try out, as well as a fun knitting pattern!
So if you want to get sucked into an addicting site, let me know and I will send you and email invite, as right now the only way you can get in is if someone invites you. I am off to do some more pinning!

This would be a big, heck no! I have to go to the dentist this week. I had a cleaning a few weeks ago, and they found a cavity, oh joy! I had myself prepared to go for round 4 with this new dentist about my teeth (it seems to be a regular occurrence with us), which happened, but I also got tagged team with is wife (who is his partner). I so miss Dr. Poel, and this shocks me as, I so don’t like dentists! At least he and I had come to an agreement that if, and when my teeth bother me I would contact him and we would go to the next step. My philosophy, if it isn’t broke, don’t try and “fix it”!
I want to bring up this procedure, San Antonio Invisalign, for my bottom teeth, as they are crooked again, but I don’t want to go with the traditional braces, as they aren’t so pretty! But knowing this new guy, he’s going to say that we should worry about the other two teeth first before we even discuss me checking out orthodontics.
So I am preparing myself for this coming Tuesday for the “talk” he will have waiting for me! Oh joy!

I have been checking for status updates via the hospitals job section where I have applied for a few different jobs, and found an email from the lady who did my first interview. She was asking if I was still interested in the job. Well of course! She said she was forwarding my information on to on of the managers. So I am getting closer to getting a job at the hospital.
In the meantime, I have been searching through the job section of the paper, on Craigslist, other business’ websites. One of these days someone will hire me! Technologists & Technicians Jobs keep popping up in different emails I have been getting, but this isn’t up my alley.
If only I kept up with my medical assistant stuff, I wouldn’t be having the trouble I am right now trying to get hired.

What a fun thing to do! Not really! With the way the economy is, there just doesn’t seem to be any jobs out there. I have been applying anywhere and everywhere, only to be told I am not qualified, or over qualified. Really? I haven’t worked outside of the home in over 16 years, so not sure how I could be over qualified for anything that I have applied for. I think the biggest shock was when I applied at Toys R Us only to be told, sorry, but you aren’t hire able, Hmmm.
After running my daycare for 16 years, I think I may be switching gears from watching little kids to going into elder care. I have been looking into the nursing homes to see if any of them have the CNA classes, like they had in the past, but so far I am coming up with nothing.
Most of the places have you fill out the applications online, and I think with the way they have the questionnaire portion set up it hurts you. The questions are very tricky, in how they ask you the same things over and over again, but only have the questions worded a little different.
If I were to get a job, then we would have to work so many things out with how to get Trent to and from school, as well as to his job he now has. Maybe I should just wait to find a job, once he gets his license and possibly a car.
