This week I have several projects I am going to tackle. First on the list is cleaning up the kitchen so I can get started on making some yummy dips, breads and cakes for my Tastefully Simple party tonight.

Before

Next on my list is to winterize our house. I have the plastic I need, just have to get it all on the windows. I wish I would have started yesterday, as last night we had some nasty wind that has continued into today. Our windows aren’t all that great and you can feel the draft. So if I get the kitchen and house cleaned up, the dips made I will be starting on at least the living room windows before the party tonight.

This week I am going to tackle my file cabinets. They are so cluttered, that when opened, things fall out. I know there are old computer games in there that I can purge, among other things.

These two I use regularly, and I am surprised I can find anything in there. The files, need to be purged and daycare stuff entered in the computer

These are the ones with all the games and papers (that are buried somewhere)

I got 3 cleaned out, the one with all the files, I just don’t have the energy to get to right now.

I finished the curtains, and the pillows are just about done. I need to do the closure part on them, and that takes forever by hand. But I did get some pics of them on my bed! I can’t wait to paint now!! My room will be complete!

My tackle this week is to get this fabric

turned into curtains for my bedroom and to recover these pillows (there are 4 altogether):

so it will all match my new bedding

This week my tackle is not house related, but is mouth related ~ LOL. My biggest tackle to complete today is to finally get the crown on my tooth! I have been dealing with this one tooth for just about 4 months now! I have a friend who says, for her sake it better happen, otherwise she wants to leave the continent. I have been at the dentist just about every 2 weeks since April 15 for ONE TOOTH. Whether it being that the infection didn’t quit go away the first time, to the hygenist messing up an order, to the lab totally screwing up the last crown that I was “supposed” to get 2 weeks ago!

Back from the dentist! I am finally done!!! I don’t have to go back to see him for another 6 months!!! Thank goodness!

This week I am tackling my bookcase. It is overflowing of books and photo albums. We tried to move it a little bit a few weeks ago, so we could plug in the air conditioner and the bottom panel cracked. Too much weight on this bookcase I am thinking.

AfterThree of the shelves had double rows of books, and now are just a single row of books. I now have 3 large grocery bags full of books I no longer have a use for, time to donate or giveaway

I cleaned out the front entry way. We don’t use this entrance so it has become a catchall. I store daycare toys that are not in use, and all the diapers in this area, but have trouble getting to those at times. All the the games got put away, as well as the blankets. I can actually see part of the floor. The next thing to go from that area is the old air conditioner, and that goes out to the trash on Thursday!

My tackle is to get the old window air conditioner out and the new one put in. Well to get my hubby to do it!!
