My Life as Mama Jodi

I have started my Christmas shopping already. The best part, I haven’t spent a penny!! Yay me! Through our bank we can accumulate points every time we use our debit/credit card. If the purchase is under $12.50 we run it as debit so we can get at least 25 points. When it is over that amount we run it as credit so we can get double points. The gas prices that we have been having has added up quite nicely on our points! I had over 80,000 points to “spend”. I got my in laws out of the way, and some gift cards for the boys as well.

I also belong to mypoints.com, and have points there to redeem as well. I am going to get gift cards to my favorite store, Target. I will use these to get gifts for my nieces.

I still want to get something for my mother in law. I am think maybe a few Mulberry trees. She has a think for trees, and the one in her front yard has recently died, so maybe getting her one to replace it will be the perfect “surprise” gift, as she usually figures out what we get her before she receives it!.

So glad to get a head start on my shopping, and not having to make a dent in our checkbook!!

I went with a couple of friends, Robyn and Erica… “KID FREE”!!! Robyn came to my house, we had to make a stop at Michigan Works for her to fill out a form, then we went through the drive thru at McD’s for some breakfast then off to Erica’s to head out for a day of shopping. I spent $5, got a few cute tops, 2 sweaters and picture frame for a wedding gift.

Back home we went, I hopped on the computer to check all my sites, then went to make pizza for dinner. Trent and I had to go to the parent/student sports meeting for school. Once home, I took care of the huge pile of clothes on my dresser, and then changed in to my pj’s to veg for the night. I get a phone call a little before nine from Grace to see if I wanted to meet at the Lookout park to do some silhouette photos. Sure why not! She says to wear something slimming.. Uhhhhh…. I don’t have anything slimming… I threw on some jeans and a top and off I went.

What fun! She got some great shots! I can’t wait to get a few of the copies so I can share them with you all!

Now I am back in my pj’s, and will be heading to bed real soon, its been a long, tiring day!
