Microwave ovens

Posted by: Jodi  :  Category: product ideas

Comparing prices for microwave ovens. Ours is acting up already. Its not that old either. They just don’t make them like they used to. My first one I received as a gift back in 1989 and that lasted me for a good fourteen years. I would really like to have another one like that one. This time around though, I would like to get one that I can put above my oven so I can free up some counter space.

Looking for a new entertainment center

Posted by: Jodi  :  Category: product ideas

Our old one is looking so worn and overflowing with DVD’s CD’s and other stuff. I would like one with multiple audio racks on it. I want some thing more modern looking but hubby is wanting to stick with the traditional wood kind.

I really like the looks of this one

Some of the features are:
* A two-tone, black and silver finish, designed to complement modern audio-video systems.
*An adjustable design, accommodating various television sizes.
* Clear tempered glass side shelves, designed to hold necessary VCRs, DVD players, video game systems and cable/satellite boxes.
* Lightweight particle-board accents in a black, woodgrain finish.
* Silver metal framing.
* Integrated wire management.

Its easy to assembly and comes with all necessary hardware included. But then again, I would need to find some sort of video unit to store all the DVD’s, CD’s and videos. So back to the drawing board.

Floam

Posted by: Jodi  :  Category: product ideas

Have you seen this as seen on tv informercial for Floam? Trent saw this the other day and said he wanted some. It looks like it could be a lot of fun. Its safe and non-toxic and is made from special, tiny micro beads that stick to each other and can make anything you can imagine. From the different websites I have seen this on, you can make some fun masks, or mold it to cans to decorate them for pencil holders. I may have to look into it.

We should think about life insurance

Posted by: Jodi  :  Category: product ideas

I should probably check into life insurance for myself. I know my hubby has some thing through his work but I haven’t worked outside the home for the last 13 years. Global Life has term insurance coverage up to $50,000. The monthly fees are pretty good for this too, for as low as $3.27. If for some reason I am not happy with this coverage they have a no risk money back guarantee.

Invitations

I love looking at all the fun invitations from various companies, as they give me ideas to make my own. Birth announcements are my favorite to look at, but you can choose from first communion invitations, kid parties, Wedding/Bridal invitations to even pet parties! Oh what fun that would be to have a party for my kitty Lulu. My niece one year had a birthday party for her dog.

I am going to keep this place in mind for when we finally move. I have to have the cutest “We’ve Moved” cards made up!!

Brought back memories

Posted by: Jodi  :  Category: product ideas

When I was cleaning out Trent’s bedroom a while back I found some of his trophies, along with a few of his brothers. Why they were stashed away in the closet and not proudly displayed I’ll never know.

I know that when I got my trophies from bowling and softball growing up, I proudly displayed them on shelves in my bedroom. The fun I had on the bowling leagues to get these trophies. Softball, was another story tho, I had some nasty bruises from being nailed with a softball.

So I am making my hubby build some shelves so I can display their trophies, which are from baseball and football.

Informercials…

Do you like as seen on tv products? I love to watch these, and have a few favorite items I would love to get. I have even bought a few items I have seen on TV, and later regretted it, as they didn’t work like they showed on TV. I really want to get the Magic Bullet. I keep watching for it to air again, to see if they have the “wait that’s not all, if you call right now, you will get not one, but two for the price of one” deals. If I see it, I am going to get it this year, and give one set to my father in law. He is notorious for buying things off of informercials, and then gives us the “free” one. So I am going to do this for him.

How do you make your popcorn?

Posted by: Jodi  :  Category: product ideas

Growing up, we made ours on the stove, with the infamous popcorn pan. I wonder if my parents still have it? On occasion we would get the Jiffy pop kind and thought it was cool how the bag expanded on the stove while it popped. Then came the microwave and the was the way to go, for many years. Not long ago my father in law started making his own again on the stove and whatever he did to it, it tasted great, to the point of me not liking microwave popcorn anymore. Heck its even better that the movie popcorn popped in popcorn machines, and I really love movie popcorn. I have been tempted to go to his house first before the movies and have him make some so I can sneak it in. Its cheaper that way too!

I think its time to…

Take Trent in and get his ears cleaned out again. Every time I go into my bedroom to watch TV, he has the closed captioning scrolling on the TV. I ask him why, and he says, I can’t hear it sometimes. I dread taking him in, as it is such a struggle. He is very touchy when it comes to them touching his ears. The last time we went in, we were there for a few hours. They got so much out of his ears, but had to stop, as his ears were getting a little tender. I had to continue later that day at home. What a fun job that was. NOT!

Christmas is coming

Posted by: Jodi  :  Category: jewelry, product ideas

I need to start putting money aside so I don’t get hit up all at once. My best friend from high school and I have exchanged gifts, up until we had kids of our own. Now we buy for each others kids. She has 2 adorable little girls, that I now by jewelry for every Christmas. Last year it was watches and bracelets, so I am not sure what to do this year. Maybe a necklace or earrings. They both have their ears pierced now. I have to keep in mind, no dangly earrings, which is hard as I find so many cute ones that would look great on these two! While I am at it, I may get some bling for myself as well!
