It’s Monday again. Time to get your menus planned. Stop on over at Laura’s and see if you can some tasty new ideas for dinner.
So last weeks menu went out the window.. that only made shopping easier for this week!
Mon ~ spaghetti & garlic bread
Tues ~ out for dinner for our anniversary ~ I think
Wed ~ steak, baked tater, corn and rolls
Thurs ~ pizza
Fri ~ some kind of fish, cheesy taters, corn and rolls

Friday ~ Had the day off! Dropped Trent off at school, got groceries, finished the laundry, and cleaned the house. Stopped at the library, picked up my books on hold, and checked out the game Wii Fit Plus (love that you can check out games at the library, at no charge!!) – I have this for the next 3 weeks to try it out. Did some shopping, then off to pick up Trent then home to make their dinner. They went to the Monster Truck show, and I had a girls night out.
Robyn went with me to pick up my new glasses, then to Applebee’s for happy hour until Erica and Cary could meet us at Friday’s for dinner, then some shopping. This was a much needed moms night out, for them especially, me I can get out without my kids as mine are much older than theirs.

Saturday ~ Was relieved John wasn’t going in to work, so he could take Trent to drum lessons. I went to pick up Guitar Hero from Robyn’s and wanted to take Aden to pick out some thing for his birthday. He was having a shopping trip with his dad, so Robyn and Co went with me to get him something and had some lunch. Once I got home, I saw that John finally got the last coat of drywall mud up on the ceiling, can’t wait until this “little” fix is done! He then tells me he is heading up to Greenville for a while to work. I. Was. Not. Happy.! So the steaks I had out for dinner were thrown back in the freezer. Trent played G.H, and I camped out in my room watching TV and or read. We had pizza for dinner, and I wasn’t happy with the time that John rolled back in. I am so over this already! He had better not pull this crap on Tuesday or next weekend! He won’t live to see our next anniversary if he does!
Sunday ~ Off to church, then over to the inlaws for dinner.

Today something I a bit different… Finding memes every Sunday is a challenge. We automatically eliminate a meme that originated on another meme site. We hate yes/no memes. But we recognize that the way we do this accounts for it being the most played meme in the blogosphere. Today we found two memes that we liked but were both rather short. So we simple merged them. The first eight questions were 
ripped from a blogger named Ian from the blog Team Ian 4ever. He does not say where he ripped this off. Questions 9 through 20 were stolen from Terence from the blog Long Ago and Not True Anyway. He states that he grabbed it from George. But, it was probably stolen there as well. So, of course, that will be as far as we go. Tracing back our theft’s thieves might take some time. Friday ~ Taxes were deposited! Shopping spree anyone? I would have loved to, but the majority will be going into savings! I did pay all of our bills that we have for the month thus far. What a good feeling that is! I headed out to Wally World to order my new glasses, and bought John a coffee pot.
I headed out to Zeeland to get my hair cut! Its been a long 5.5 months since my last one! So glad that Stephanie’s maternity leave is over with! (no she didn’t take a 5 month leave, I just couldn’t find the time to get in before she had her daughter). I went with a shorter version of my previous cut, and while I was so very hesitant in doing this, I did it!
Headed for home, to see if my hubby was home yet, grabbed a bite to eat, then over to Robyn’s for a little while, so her and Erica could see my haircut.
Saturday ~ John headed out early yet again, to mark the 5th long day of work. My MIL called to let us know that John’s Uncle Larry passed away. There will be no viewing, as he requested none. The family will have a celebration later on, but no date has been set. I colored my hair, got the ribs going in the crock pot, then got Trent up so he could shower early and headed out to Wally World, yet again, as he needed a new pair of glasses as well (his got broken in his back pack). He wants contacts, but that will have to wait until this summer, after he shows he can be responsible for this 2nd pair. Then off to his drum lessons. Home again, made some banana muffins and banana bread for the week, then vegged for the day until John got home. He and Trent got out Rockband and jammed in the living room, while I camped out in my bedroom watching a marathon of “What Not To Wear”.
Sunday ~ Off to church, had a good service. Tried to get ahold of John’s parents, but no luck. Whipped up some lunch, then John and I went to Kohl’s to get him some jeans and me a belt. The rest of the day has been lots of vegging.

Friday ~ Started off with an unexpected day off, so I decided to surprise my hubby with a lunch date. We went to Red Robin… Yum! I dropped him back off at work, then headed off to the library before it was time to pick up Trent from school. The rest of the night was spent trying to figuring out where the leak was in our bathroom. We now have a nice size hole in the wall behind the tub (thankfully with the dryer back in place it hides it until John can patch it back up. Luckily there were no busted pipes, the water was getting behind the water nozzle, so John caulked it. That was the extent of what was done for the night, as John had several phone calls to return.
Saturday ~ John and Trent went to drum lessons, then went over to a friends to watch them practice – Trent was thrilled, as he got to watch Denny on the drums. I made some cookies, and worked on Trent’s blanket. The guys came home with another friend in tow, to help with the ceiling. I went back to Jo-Ann’s to get a couple more yards of fabric to work on yet another blanket (I think I am addicted!). The rotted part was cut out, new 2 x 4’s and drywall put up. By that time, it was after 8, and John needed to practice for a bit for church. While he practiced, I spent the night cutting out squares of fabric.
Sunday ~ Church was really good, I think finally a break through was made (or about to) with John. John and Trent played some Wii after lunch, then took a short nap before the mudding began on the ceiling in the kitchen. I worked on a blanket and or read for the day/night.
