Hope you have a great day with family and friends!

Wow!

Its been over a week since I posted on my blog. Alot has happened over the last week. First we had the long three day weekend for Memorial Day. Saturday we went over to the inlaws so John and Trent could help out my father inlaw with some yard work. Sunday was church, then the guys went back to the inlaws while I stayed home to do some work around the house. Monday, the guys went to Burley Park, which is a huge flea market, I declined as the last few years I have gone there wasn’t anything I found I wanted and/or needed; plus I had plans to go to the hospital wee see my friend and her precious baby girl.

After getting home from the visit with Donna, I logged onto the computer to see that another friend had posted that her 20 month old daughter had fallen from a 5ft playground platform, and was being airlifted to a hospital 2.5 hours away from home with a fractured skull and a brain bleed. My heart broke. Its been a long week, and just today mom had posted that she took a turn for the worse, and was being taken to surgery to relieve the pressure in her head. Please keep precious little Kenley in your prayers.

Yesterday Willow had surgery to internalize her shunt, and the outcome was a success. She will be going home very soon! Praise God!

The rest of the week was filled with busy things, pulling up bushes in the front yard, to my daily routines of house work and looking up life insurance rates, so we can get this rolling along with our insurance… it the guys ever make a decision!

While my heart has been heavy for these two little girls, I know that God is working in their lives, and whatever the outcome its in His will.

2011 is here

We ended 2010 with a party over at a friends house from church. There were lots of families there, so it made it a little nicer bringing Trent with us. I didn’t want to leave him home alone, and didn’t want him to be bored at home by himself.

There was lots of good food, even though most of it I couldn’t eat, and lots of fun games to be played by all. The littler kids were playing the Wii upstairs,

while us older folks played some Pictionary down stairs, as well as some charades.

We were out later than I had planned, but that’s ok, as we lounged around the next day and did pretty much nothing. Gotta love those kind of days! We decided not to go to the inlaws today, as we needed another day of doing nothing after church. So I will have to wait another week to see who checked themselves into a los angeles detox rehabs after a wild weekend of partying. The wildest partying we did was letting the kids shoot off some party favors

So thankful it wasn’t my house, as that left a nice mess. The kids tried to get it all picked up so they could take home all of the confetti, but they quickly got bored with cleaning up and went back upstairs to play the Wii.

Merry Christmas

Dear Santa

Dear Santa,

I have been a really good girl this year. I am making out my list and thinking I would like rings, necklaces and St. Moritz watches. I have one ring in mind, and would be really happy to find it under my tree.

The site has it classified as a mother’s ring, but I am going to deem it a family ring, isn’t it pretty!?

I have a few other things on my wish list, like some clothes, but we will have to go shopping for those together, as I need to try them on first! *smile*.

Sincerely,
Jodi
