Weekend rewind. If you want to play along, grab the above button and tell me all about your weekend!

Friday ~ I had to work, one of my first day of training at my actual work location. It was a busy day. Then I had to crazy notion of stopping at Barnes and Noble to see if I could find a magazine for a stocking stuffer… ugh! Not the place I wanted to be 2 days before Christmas. I left with no magazine, and then fought the traffic to get out of the mall! Once home, I had dinner, that my hubby made and got busy working on the last two knitting projects for Christmas.

Saturday ~ Up early to get to the store before the crowds got there to get groceries for the week and the last few gifts I needed. Then it was off to finish the projects, make a salad for Christmas, and prepare all of the foods for our Christmas Eve snacks. I had to take a nap, as I knew I wouldn’t make it through the day with all I had to accomplish.

Christopher’s girlfriend came over for out finger food/snacks and movie night. Those two exchanged their gifts, as well as them and us each opening up one gift, which I got the guys all Lions pajama pants, and a set of comfy/fleece jammies for myself. Taylor gave John and I a gift card to Outback.

Sunday ~ Christmas day! I was up before everyone, as I have been for the last few years. I enjoyed the quiet time, and working on some knitting, (had to finish up my father inlaws hat). For the first time ever, John was up before the boys! Finally go them up so we could dive into the presents!

From my hubby, he got me a Sweddish Massage Cushion…. oh heavenly!, a new set of pots and pan, my purple mug, the first book of the Hunger Games, some chocolate, a gift card to IHOP (yum!) and a knitting magazine.

From the boys ~ Trent got me a nice waffle maker and a Tigger mug; from Christopher, a gift card to Best Buy (that will be put with the other gift cards to purchase my Kindle Fire).

Then it was off to the inlaws. From them, I received some $$, an apron that matches my kitchen decor, a puzzle and candy; SIL – John and I got a combo gift of a gift card to Logan’s; UIL – gift card to Hobby Lobby. Lots of good food and family time. I ended up showing my father in law his hat, and then took it back to to complete it (which I did before we left!)

Merry Christmas to me

This isn’t what I wanted for Christmas, but we needed new tires on my car. We dropped a nice chunk of change at the tire shop, I am glad we went with the less expensive tire, but John is still doubting. It gets frustrating when he gets like this, as there is no reasoning with him. I see that he was looking up some Lemon Law Firms last night, for what, I have no idea! I don’t know if he was thinking back to the time he bought a car and had so many problems. Every time he turned around he was sinking money into that car. He now researches cars before he buys them. Well outside of the Saturn we just purchased. He is wishing he would have looked into parts for it first to see if it would be an ok car to buy. I on the other hand wish we would have just kept the Trailblazer!

I am still holding out for a little something to show up under the tree, if I get said tree up sometime this week. I am starting training tomorrow for a new job, that is going to have me very busy over the course of the next three weeks before Christmas. Thankfully this paid training so I can have a little extra to spend on the guys this year. Plus I have one more to shop for, now that the oldest is in a semi serious relationship!

Hopefully I will still have enough time to finish up a few more knitting projects for the gifts I have yet to finish putting together!

Are you ready for Christmas? Is your tree up?

To buy or not

My laptop is giving me fits and I am trying to decide whether or not I want to buy a new on, or just do some upgrades to the one I have. So in all of my research and deciding, I am looking for some deals on laptops.

Do I want to save up, and ask for gift cards so I can use them for a laptop? Of course John is not going for getting a new one, as he thinks he can just fix it. Hmmm….. I have been waiting for him to do this, just like every other thing in this house for him to get to!

Then again, I would like those gift cards, so I can get either a Kindle or a Nook, so I have lots of things to decide on. What’s a girl to do?!

When I say morning, I mean morning!

I received an email the other day asking me if I wanted to participate in a review for a new video line. I replied to the emaiil saying I would like to look further into the details, and that mornings worked best for them to contact me. They replied with: We will be in contact with you in the morning. Well here it is mid way through the morning and no phone call from them. I don’t to sit around much longer waiting for them to call, as I have things to do.

I have some orders to input for my 31 business, as well as look into the conference call equipment set up, for the next call for 31. This is the one that I really want to be in on, as it has some tips I am looking forward to hearing, so I can really get my business up and running!

I have an idea I am going to work on, and so hope that the business I approach are willing to give it a try, as I think it will be a win – win situation for all of us! Who can resist a personal shopper, when it means you don’t have to fight the crowds, or try to come up what to get your loved one something for Christmas!?!?!

My tummy is starting to growl too, so that means I need to figure out what I want to have for lunch. I really want some soup, so I need to find someplace with some yummy soup!!
