Gorgeous!

These are from my hubby for Mother’s Day (of course the kitty had to get in the picture). He gave me a really sappy card too. Made me cry! I had to call him to thank him for these, as I have been gone for the last day and a half, and he and Trent are at the races until late tonight.

I was at my Ladies Retreat for church. What an amazing time I had! I will share later, as I am ready to go take a nice long soak in the tub, then off to bed!

Mother’s Day is fast approaching

What are you getting your mom for Mother’s Day? We will more than likely go the flower route, as you an never go wrong with flowers. This is what I want every year from my boys, flowers to plant by the front door, and around my rose bushes.

I love floral arrangements as well, and have been hinting to my guy about my mothers day flower gift, saying, “You know, 1-800-Flowers has some pretty floral arrangements, you have to check them out. I even printed out this photo from their website and have it on the fridge for a friendly reminder.

He feels bad

Posted by: Jodi  :  Category: gifts

My hubby that is. He feels bad that he didn’t get me anything for Valentine’s Day. I told him I didn’t need anything. He just doesn’t like my response. He wants to get me a gold chain, because he keeps seeing my changing out my different pendants on the one and only necklace. I don’t want a new one. I like the chain I have right now.

If he really wants to get me something, he can get me a new Kitchen Aid mixer. I want one that has a dough hook on it, so I don’t have to manually knead the bread dough. He says thats not a gift, thats a want. Whatever! I would rather he spend money this way!

Looking for a new coat…

I am looking at getting a new jacket. I have heard of fleece sweaters, but didn’t know they make outdoor stlye fleece jackets. I love the feel of these, and would love to have one. I wonder if I could sweet talk my hubby into getting me one for Christmas, even tho he was generous enough and bought me the camera I have been wanting.

Popcorn machines

Posted by: Jodi  :  Category: gifts

My sister in law is making me an afgan for Christmas, even tho we agreed not to exchange gifts anymore. So I have been trying to come up with something to get her. I know she likes air popped popcorn, so maybe a popcorn machine would be the thing to get her. I know we will probably have some words if I do get her this, but oh well, she will have to just deal with it. She started it all by making the afgan!

Do you think…

… a young gal would likemakeup mirrors? I am waiting on a list from my nieces as to what they want for Christmas. I have no idea what to get girls. The oldest is getting at that age of “make up” so maybe a mirror would come in handy for her. Hopefully they will have their lists soon, so I can go shopping. I want to finish up this weekend!

Adding this to my wish list…

digital picture frame. I have been hearing lots about digital frames lately. I want a few of them! You can choose from either a 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 15 inch frames. They have built in speakers, MP3 music for background sound… so how cool is that? This would make a great gift for grandparents! I like how easy it is transfer your pictures from camera to frame, my mother in law could handle this!

So if you are looking for a unique gift, why not get a digtal frame for a loved one this holiday season. Ordering online is getting easier and easier to do, this site even offers paypal as an option for payments, I like that!

Trying to decide

Posted by: Jodi  :  Category: gifts, music

Christmas is less than a month away! We are trying to decide on either a mp3 player or an iPod Shuffle to get Trent for Christmas. I had mentioned to my hubby that I would get him an iPod so he could download the music he likes, as he is always complaining about what the radio stations play. In doing this, Trent pipes up that he wants one so when he is out running for Cross Country he can listen to music. So I have been browsing sites, getting info on both to see which item I want to get him. This will be his big ticket item for Christmas. We have told friends and relatives to get him itunes gift cards to go with this. Decisions, decisions!
