On one of our trips to town we were looking at all the real estate, and if we could afford it, each of us would love to have a cottage up there. We would have to find some asset based lenders to work with, but that won’t be happening any time soon, so we can keep on dreaming.

Over the next few posts I will be adding pictures of our vacation.

I get to go baby shopping again, as soon as she finds out what she is having. It would be great if I could deliver the package in person, but don’t know if I will be able to make it out there or not. We shall see!

After all of the holiday get togethers I am now in need of finding the best diet supplements, as I know I gained back all of what I have lot thus far. Have to do some research to see if I can indeed go back to taking some of the products I was taking before, as I really liked taking them.

I am now ready for the weeks to get back to normal, and now that I have some time off, I will be getting back into exercising!

Mother Nature.. you can take a flying leap off a short cliff! Why do you have to ruin EVERY plan we make to go to the beach? I think it just might be my hubby encouraging her to do this, just so I won’t be able to wear my bikini. Yeah, that’s it. Curse him as well! I WILL wear my bikini.. I will!

So now that we can’t spend the day at the beach, we are going to go do some thrift store shopping.

Friday ~ Trent went over to a friends house after school, John and I went up to the hospital to see his dad.

Saturday ~ John took Trent to his drum lessons, I went shopping for a birthday present for a very special little girl, then went downtown to Festival with Robyn. I hadn’t been to the Festival in about 18 years, and now I remember why, kinda boring. We did go to the art museum, only because it was free this weekend.

Yard work was next. Trent mowed the lawn while I got out the weed whacker, and proceeded to slice up my foot. Not sure how I did it, but ouch! Trent then went off to the lake with a friend. John and I hung out at home.

Sunday ~ Started off with church, then over to the Nowicki’s for Isabella’s first birthday. This past year has went by so very fast, it seems like just yesterday I was planning her baby shower!

After dropping them off, it was off to pick up Trent from school, then home. I took a short nap, and rested my leg. I didn’t have the energy to make dinner, so I ordered a pizza. Talked with my hubby for a short while then headed out to the mall with Robyn again, as the swimsuit mission was still on.

Lots of suits were tried on, and at one of the stores I saw a cute long skirt/dress (can be worn 2 ways), and a top that I wanted to try on. I liked them both, and decided what the heck! It was more than I usually spent on clothes for myself, but what ya gonna do? They were on sale, which was good, and the bonus was when the cashier rang them up, she said because the total was over $50 you saved $10… cool! I now need to find a strapless bra to go with the dress/skirt.

Robyn did find a cute bathing suit top, so the shopping trip was a success! We ended out night out with a stop at Cold Stone Creamery. Yum! We are going to have to find some effective diet pills that work, as our diets have been severely sabotaged this week! From camping to the cat bite and the medication I am on for it. I am hoping I can start working out, on Tuesday. have to be able to wear the new suit with out seeing all the extra weight around the middle!

Friday ~ Grocery shopping kicked off my day, had to get stuff for the guys to survive the weekend without me. Today kicked off the start of camping season. Robyn and I went shopping for our food for the weekend, with our coupons and a gift card we only spent $9.37 (out of our pockets) for the weekend!

On the way to the campground it started raining… great, but what ya gonna do, it always rains on our outings. We rolled with it, got the tent set up in the rain, then it stopped. They had bingo at 7, so off we went. They played until everyone won. S’more time… yum! We sat around the campfire until 2ish.

Saturday ~ The morning started off cloudy, and misty, but then turned into a great day! Breakfast was a fiasco. We forgot the utensils, so trying to get the sausage and bacon off the pan was not too much fun. The bacon was burnt, and no eggs. Oh well. We let the kids play for a while, then we went and played mini golf, well the kids played we watched/helped. Lunch time was much better cooking wise, I went and bought a spatula from the camp store, so we could flip the grilled cheese, then some games of Apples to Apples and Skip Bo until Erica and the kids arrived. Then it was the “Hey, Hey, Hey Ride” with Boo Boo Bear.

The kids played on the playground, while we got things organized around the camp and got dinner going. It started to get cool, so we started the campfire early, we had the kids going around looking for sticks, so we wouldn’t run out of our wood too quickly. That kept the occupied for a while until S’more time. It wasn’t a late night for us.

Sunday ~ Up early, packed up, got another jump for Robyn’s car (we discovered she had a dead battery on Friday night), and headed home. The guys were at church, so I had the house to myself for a little while. A nap was in order for me, so John and I took a short nap, then just chilled around the house for the day/night.

We are using them for the first time tonight!! Now if only I could find matching dishes to complete the set!!

The other great deals I got this week involve camping items. Earlier in the week a friend stopped at a store and found a camping stove on clearance, she called to tell me about it. Told her it was ok, and that I would go in on half. Well after she checked out she called and said it rung up for $5. What!?!? Go get me one if they have any left. So she did.

Then last night after garage saleing, we went to said store to see if they had anymore of those stoves left as another friend wanted one. They didn’t but had a different one that was marked down to $32, we took it over to one of those price check scanners and it rang up for $8. We couldn’t pass up on that deal, so I bought that one as well! So I got 2 stoves that originally went for $130 total, and only paid $13 for them! Awesome!

Now we just need to start stocking up on some pans, and then we will be all set for camping! Oh, last week we found a screened in tent for $5!

I think if you could find some cheap cigars, you could make them up real cute to hand out as announcements… for the dads to give out anyways. For the moms I was thinking of using a Hershey chocolate bar or some other cute way to decorate up an announcement.

I have a few road trips to take in the very, near future to see a couple of very cute babies, then I will have some photos to share!
