Friday ~ Finally I had a normal “Friday routine” day! Groceries in the morning, running some errands, and getting things ready for the guys before I went to work. I tried out a new recipe I found on Pinterest, and it turned out really good! Work was fun, finally got to work with Mellany.

Saturday ~ Woke to the snow flying yet again in Michigan… I know, I know, I should be used to it, but it has been so nice not having lots of it this year. I had a bridal shower in the morning for my cousin’s daughter. I want to get remarried and have another shower! I could use some new household items! I had to laugh when she went on about the best ironing boards ever when she opened up one of her gifts. She received lots of nice gifts.

Then home to veg for a little while before it was time to go out with the girls for dinner and some shopping.

I found a pair of jeans, a hoodie and a shirt for work, I say it was a successful shopping trip!

Sunday ~ The weather was ugly again today, so John decided we were staying home for the day, well until it was time to take Trent to work. So my day consisted of some Lifetime movies and ironing the curtains, and doing some blog work.

I did my running this morning for my normal Friday routine, and found some deals in the clearance racks. I didn’t see any welding jackets, so the guys at my hubby’s work will just have to wait a little longer. I finished up the last of the knitting for the shower tomorrow, then vegged for the remainder of the day until it was time to head out.

I am looking forward to the rest of the weekend, with a package being delivered, containing my iPhone; a bridal shower, then to round out the weekend a girls night out! Sunday will be a day of vegging with my hubby.

In the process of this, I am hoping to find a part time job, to give me some extra spending money and to help rebuild out savings. This will be a challenge for all of us, as everyone will have to chip in with household stuff. We shall see!

Friday ~ Started out as my usual Friday routine, got groceries, then home to get everything ready for Michigan’s Adventure. We had a good time; great weather!

Saturday ~ Did some baking in the morning, then knitting for the remainder of the day/night. John and Trent went golfing in the afternoon.

Sunday ~ Church in the am, then home to veg for the day/night. Still trying to recuperate from Friday’s outing (I’m not as young as I used to be ~ LOL)

Summer is coming to a close. The last two weeks are going to go by fast. This week is the last week for driver’s training for Trent, he takes his written test on Thursday, hopefully he passes; then it will be the fun of letting him drive to get in his required hours to go to the next level before he gets the permit. Friday we are going to Michigan’s Adventure with Robyn and the boys to have one last Summer hurrah!

Next week, is filled with school registration, shopping for school clothes and some supplies, and then the road trip to Indiana for the big drag race! I still need to find a decent, but cheap hotel for a few nights. I am looking forward to this trip, as I love watching the big names that are involved with the drag races!

I still need to make some salsa, if I can find the salsa mix I used last year. Then its a trip to Under the Pines to get some tomatoes! I would like to try my hand at possibly canning a batch of my spaghetti sauce, but not really sure how to go about doing this. I need to get a book on canning from the library and get some pointers!

Then it will be back to the gym every day!!! Oh how I have missed the gym this summer…. wait, did I just say that!?! LOL I need to get back in shape, all that progress went down the drain this summer! Oh well, I have 9 months to get back into a bikini state of mind for next summer!

Friday ~ Started out as my usual Friday routine, got groceries, ran a few errands, tried to get ahold of Trent to see if he wanted to go with me to the cottage where Robyn was vacationing with her parents. No luck, so off I went. It was a relaxing couple of hours on the pontoon boat. Robyn, the boys and her dad fished, while I read.

Saturday ~ Tubing day!!! Pics will come at a later date, as I have to drop off the disposable camera to get developed. And of course our day started out as a rain day. They dropped us off and it was lightly raining, then as soon as the bus left, it poured, thunder and lightening soon followed. We finally walked up to the campground area to hang out in the bathroom…. and it had a nice warm hand dryer that we all used to warm up a bit. We kept checking to see if it had let up, when finally we saw the sun! So back down to the river we went, got all the tubes tied together, and started our float down the river. About half way it started to rain again… and boy were we all cccooolllddd. We made it back to the landing area, only to have the sun finally come out to stay. Go figure!

Off to Bennigan’s we went for potato soup! YUM!

Sunday ~ Church in the am, then home for a nap. John went to hear his dad play the accordian at some event he was at.

Friday ~ Got the tags for the cars, so we are legal for another year. Went shopping for groceries, then off to do some shopping with Robyn. Then it was back home to do some running with Trent, for last minute camp stuff. John and I went over to his parents to pick up the truck/trailer so we could clean out the basement for free trash day in our neighborhood. But that backfired, as the lights on the trailer weren’t working.

Saturday ~ Girl talk at Briana’s ~ our last one, and as usual she made an awesome breakfast for us.

Then it was home to spend the time with my hubby, as it was his birthday. We made it a lazy day and hung out at home. For dinner I made BBQ ribs, corn on the cob, and baked potatoes. It was so good, and very filling, to where we didn’t go out for planned ice cream.

Sunday ~ church, then home to get ready for dinner with the guys. We grilled steaks and shrimp. The rest of the night we all hung out and watched a movie… a strange one!

Friday ~ I had another appointment at Everest to finish up my enrollment (I will be writing another post about this later). I stopped at a friends shop and got a pedicure… love this! On my way home I ordered a pizza, picked it up, had a slice then off to church for our last craft night until fall.

Saturday ~ I headed out to Briana’s for Girl Talk. She outdid herself again on the food she prepared. We had a great time sharing and getting to know one another a little bit more.

Once I arrived at home, I planned out how I wanted to do the front yard. I took Trent with me to the store, as I had (2) 50% off coupons for Michael’s that expired on Sat. Got the yarn I needed, then off to find a shovel (as he broke ours while digging out the bushes in the front), and to grab a few other things for dinner.

We worked on the landscaping, and I am very pleased with how it turned out, just need to find a wishing well to complete it.

Sunday ~ Happy Father’s Day! We are on vacation, so no church today. I made breakfast, then they headed off to my inlaws to pick up Gramps so they could go golfing. They were gone for the day/night, as Trent ended up mowing their lawn.

I had a nice quiet, relaxing day to myself.

He said he didn’t think playing backyard basketball could be so dangerous. He ended up going to get checked out and has a sprained knee. I guess it will be back to playing “horse” or “pig” for them. Its a lot less dangerous! And Trent wonders I why I don’t want him playing sports in school!

Friday ~ Dropped Trent off at school, then off to the grocery store. I did some baking once I got home, then just relaxed until it was time head off to church for craft night.

Saturday ~ Baking, baking, baking… I had cookies to make for church, so that was the majority of my morning. John and Trent went to his dads to get the big ladder so they could work on the gutters, I went to the store to get a birthday present and my tomato plants. Relaxed for a while, then it was time for and MNO, then a trip downtown to Festival.

Sunday ~ church in the am, then over to Briana’s for Miss Isabella’s 2nd birthday. Had a good time there, then it was time to go pick up Trent from his cousin’s. Then I crashed!
