Friday ~ groceries in the morning, a quick clean up of the house, then Trent and I were off to the eye doctors. He was fitted for contacts, its going to be a long few weeks until he gets the hang of it.

Saturday ~ Took Trent to drum lessons while John was at his eye doctor appointment. Then John and I went on a drive to know where in mind, just north bound. We were stuck in traffic for a while, thinking it was construction and or accident related, but when we got up to the area, it was a car that had caught on fire. We took the shoreline trail, which took us on some curvy roads, around a few lakes: Stoney Lake, Mass Lake and then Pentwater. We went a little further and ended up in Luddinton. We walked along the pier, had dinner then headed home.

Sunday ~ We took the day off from church, so we slept in… so nice. I forgot how time consuming making a lemon meringue pie was, but I had promised one for my father in law for his birthday. We had dinner at the in laws, a game of cards, some accordion music, via my father in law, presents and dessert.

We can find the best weight loss pills if that is the route he wants to take. We both need to to something, just with is didn’t cost so much to get healthy. The stores need to make the healthy food less costly, and jack the prices up on the junk food!

I finally got the remote from him and hit record for his show and told him to go do something for a while then come back to start watching the show again.

Friday ~ started out as a beach day, but got the news that Robyn was going to be kid free for the day, so we stayed at her mother in laws pool. It was a relaxing day.

Saturday ~ John and Trent got up early to head out for a day of golfing with a few guys from church. I went to the “Women’s Day of Refresh” retreat. Great day with great friends. Then home to do some baking for church.

Sunday ~ church in the morning, then was going to be a day of relaxing once we got home. Well that changed after a few hours, I received a phone all from Christopher saying I needed to come pick him up from work as he cut his head and needed to get stitches. So off I went, which seemed like the longest drive ever to the mall. It took a while to figure out where exactly we needed to take him, got to love workman’s comp! He was up in the loft at his work getting boxes down and hit/scraped his head on one of the sprinkler heads. Ouch! An hour and a half and 6 staples later we were headed home.

After all of the holiday get togethers I am now in need of finding the best diet supplements, as I know I gained back all of what I have lot thus far. Have to do some research to see if I can indeed go back to taking some of the products I was taking before, as I really liked taking them.

I am now ready for the weeks to get back to normal, and now that I have some time off, I will be getting back into exercising!

There’s nothing worse than a cold in the summer! I am so stuffed up, sneezing and coughing. Yesterday I took a short nap in the car after picking up Trent, while waiting at the next school to get my daycare kid. He said I sounded funny, and kinda freaked him out, thinking I wasn’t breathing.

Last night I called it a night and was in bed by 8. I couldn’t get warm, even with the extra blankets on the bed. I was hoping to wake up today feeling a little better, but no such luck. I have to pick Trent up in a little bit (half day of school), so I think I might leave a little early and stop and get some Dayquil and Nyquil, and hopefully taking that it will knock this could out of me!

Friday ~ Trent went over to a friends house after school, John and I went up to the hospital to see his dad.

Saturday ~ John took Trent to his drum lessons, I went shopping for a birthday present for a very special little girl, then went downtown to Festival with Robyn. I hadn’t been to the Festival in about 18 years, and now I remember why, kinda boring. We did go to the art museum, only because it was free this weekend.

Yard work was next. Trent mowed the lawn while I got out the weed whacker, and proceeded to slice up my foot. Not sure how I did it, but ouch! Trent then went off to the lake with a friend. John and I hung out at home.

Sunday ~ Started off with church, then over to the Nowicki’s for Isabella’s first birthday. This past year has went by so very fast, it seems like just yesterday I was planning her baby shower!

While he was getting it all set up, I went to take a nice leisurely bath to relax and unwind. I could hear talking, but knew the boys weren’t here, so wasn’t sure if someone stopped over or if he was on the phone. So hoping he wasn’t on the phone with the Geek Squad with an issue with the computer.

Well he was on the phone with someone offering life insurance quotes. It came up a local number on the caller ID otherwise he would have never answered. He finally told them, NO and hung up. He couldn’t get them to take no for answer otherwise.

I keep getting the look, so I had better finish up on the computer so we can go watch a movie and enjoy the quiet time with the boys gone for the night.

One of these days we will finally make the leap and put our house up for sale and buy our second home. It has to happen now that John has a job in Greenville. The daily commute is a long one, and will be longer once winter returns.
