My baby turns 17 today! Where oh where has the time gone? I knew he would have his growth spurt, but wasn’t counting on it to happen all in a matter of a few months! He is now taller than me, and I now have to look up to both of my boys… so not right!

He and John went to Cook’s for chili dogs, as that is what Trent wanted for his birthday dinner. I didn’t go as I don’t care for chili dogs. So I headed out to the antique shops to see if I could find the package of rings that I am able to make some cool rings out of. No such luck, I should have bought them when I was there a little while ago. I did find a cool dressing table that I have been wanting, just wish I had the room in the house to put it. I also didn’t want to spend the money on it, without talking it over with John. So I left empty handed.

I got a few texts from them as they stopped at Best Buy, showing me a guitar, and then an amp. I didn’t now BB sold that kind of stuff. I told him NO to his request of an amp, as I wasn’t granted the YES to get the new laptop I want/need. And what does he do…. he buys it anyways. Grrrrr

With my laptop I at least use it every day, where he plays his guitar once in a blue moon now. I am irritated, but what am I going to do. I have a feeling I am going to do a purse shopping binge at Thirty One!

So wish me luck, as I am really hoping I get my way, especially after how lousy this month has gone thus far with our Jeep!

All I wanted to do was put in my time today, so I could get back home and put on some comfy clothes and snuggle down into my Thomasville chaise and warm fuzzy blanket. The winds were ferocious today, and the temps dropped significantly and they are talking about the possibility of some snow showers! So not fair, its not supposed to snow after my birthday!

Tomorrow nothing is on the agenda until I have to go pick up Trent from school and go to work. So I plan on lounging around all day and knitting. I wish it could be a total lazy day AND night, but a girls got to do, what a girls got to do.

Friday ~ Long, long, l-o-n-g day! I worked from 7:45 am to 8 pm, with a 45 min break, where I left the building and did some retail therapy at Old Navy. I FINALLY got my Jeep back! So hoping its for good this time!

Saturday ~ Was a day of shopping. John and I went and bought a mattress, hit a few pawn shops, and antique shop (which we will be going back, as we didn’t have much time to browse like we like to do!), picked up Trent and dropped him off at work. Then it was off to Logan’s, then Best Buy, where I got to pick out my birthday gift…. a stereo for my Jeep. I love that I can set the dial, display and what not to shine a nice bright purple!!! We then settled in for a quiet night at home watching “The Passion of the Christ”.

Sunday ~ Happy Easter! I was up early to get things picked up, and started our dinner. John put my stereo in, which made me happy, as it will save us $65 for an installation fee that BB was going to charge.

Friday ~ Groceries in the morning, picked up my jeep, got my nails done then off to work.

Saturday ~ Trent and I went to see “The Hunger Games”, not a bad movie, wish they would have stuck to the story line a little better. Had to bring the jeep back yet again to the dealer for the same stupid reason. I am getting so sick of this! They have one more shot at it, if they don’t fix it correctly this time, then I am pulling out the “lemon card” and demand either a replacement of equal value or get my saturn back, as I had NO problems with that!

Sunday ~ We had a very lazy Sunday, yet again. I rearranged the living room, made banana muffins, and a brownie dessert. I settled in with my phone, laptop and the boob tube of Duck Dynasty and Storage Wars until it was time for Fairy Tales.

He has his eye on either a truck or a motorcycle, granted michelin motorcycle tires would be cheaper than what he paid for the tires for his Audi, but a motorcycle isn’t practical in Michigan. He will need a second vehicle for the winter months. I need to get him thinking more practical! Kids!

I am hoping that my jeep will be returned to me tomorrow, as I really, really want to go out driving!

I am now on the hunt for an app on my ebook reader book, (ie the Kindle), as they don’t have the one for Draw Something and thats a bummer! But then I will just have to find more friends who have a Kindle and draw with them there on whatever app I do find.

I will never get anything done now if I get another app going on another device!

I would like to drive this!!!! We have been the owners of this jeep for almost two weeks, and I have had it in my possession maybe 3 days! I just want to go for along drive in it! The ABS, traction control and EPS/BAS lights have been on. Its been in the shop twice, and I just had to drop it back off today! I am so beyond frustrated right now! I am looking up the lemon law to see what our options are if they don’t fix it right this time around! But then again, who’s to say it won’t happen again after our 30 day warranty is up.

On the bright side of the day, Trent and I went and saw “The Hunger Games” this morning. I thought it was pretty good. I wish they stuck a little closer to the book, but that’s Hollyweird for ya! Right now I am lounging with my laptop and phone, as I have lots of “draw” friends that are keeping me entertained. May talk the hubby into going out for ice cream later on tonight.

I have only see a few of the dancers, and am blown away. They are really, really good! I have to remember to set the DVR to record from here on out.
