iPhone

After me saying that I would “never” have internet on my phone…. I finally caved! John was trying to find a stereo system that supported a flash drive. I told him that he could just have my iTouch, and I would transfer his upgrade to over to my phone and get an iPhone. The only reason I did this, is because of my discount I get for being a Spectrum Health employee. With his upgrade, he also had a $30 credit, so I was able to purchase the phone for only $70! Score! Now I just need to get him some skullcandy headphones so he can use the iTouch when he is working out. He is under strict orders to NOT take this to work with him, as the garnet from the waterjet will destroy it!

As for me, I need to find a arm band so I can use my phone when I am working out. I bought one, but it was too hard to get it in and out of. I may just have to find some work out pants with pockets.

Weekend rewind. If you want to play along, grab the above button and tell me all about your weekend!

Friday ~ Finally I had a normal “Friday routine” day! Groceries in the morning, running some errands, and getting things ready for the guys before I went to work. I tried out a new recipe I found on Pinterest, and it turned out really good! Work was fun, finally got to work with Mellany.

Saturday ~ Woke to the snow flying yet again in Michigan… I know, I know, I should be used to it, but it has been so nice not having lots of it this year. I had a bridal shower in the morning for my cousin’s daughter. I want to get remarried and have another shower! I could use some new household items! I had to laugh when she went on about the best ironing boards ever when she opened up one of her gifts. She received lots of nice gifts.

Then home to veg for a little while before it was time to go out with the girls for dinner and some shopping.

I found a pair of jeans, a hoodie and a shirt for work, I say it was a successful shopping trip!

Sunday ~ The weather was ugly again today, so John decided we were staying home for the day, well until it was time to take Trent to work. So my day consisted of some Lifetime movies and ironing the curtains, and doing some blog work.

What did you do this weekend? Let me know if you play along!

End of the work week

What a week! I am so glad its over with! It seems that when I walk into work, all “h” breaks loose! Today, was pretty calm, but the rest of the week, I just wanted to walk right back out and go home! If only people would stick around and finish clearing things up before the “have to” take off. It would make the transition that much smoother. But nope, they are on their own agenda and to heck with the others. If you really don’t want to be there, then why work!??!

I did my running this morning for my normal Friday routine, and found some deals in the clearance racks. I didn’t see any welding jackets, so the guys at my hubby’s work will just have to wait a little longer. I finished up the last of the knitting for the shower tomorrow, then vegged for the remainder of the day until it was time to head out.

I am looking forward to the rest of the weekend, with a package being delivered, containing my iPhone; a bridal shower, then to round out the weekend a girls night out! Sunday will be a day of vegging with my hubby.

Weekend rewind. If you want to play along, grab the above button and tell me all about your weekend!

Friday ~ What a long, busy, crazy day! I had to work all day, with a small interruption of having to go pick up Trent from school, then back to work until 8. The weather turned a little crazy, so the drive home was a little bit scary, but I made it safe and sound.

Saturday ~ I had a lazy day at home. I did some baking, and worked on my knitting until it was time to take Trent to work, then John and I went out for dinner at Logan’s.

Sunday ~ The day consisted of… John and I having “church” in bed. We had planned on getting up, but the comfort and coziness of the bed kept us from actually getting up. So we tuned into “Walking by Faith” from Res Life. Then got up to start the day of laziness (are you seeing a pattern here lately!?!?!), of knitting and watching football.

What did you do this weekend? Let me know if you play along!

Make it stop!

I have a very annoying rash right now! Yesterday at work, I started to break out after a stressful few hours, and thought it was perhaps just hives. But once I got home, I was rethinking that thought. They had spread, and weren’t welt like nor were they hot like other hives I have seen. I took some benedryl, to help with the itching, so I could try and get some sleep.

Once I got up, I saw there there were a bunch more spots, and my face was slightly swollen, as well as my eyes looked a touch reddish. I got everyone of to work and school and waiting for the Dr office to open up to see if I could get in to be seen. Thankfully I was able to get a morning appointment.

I have some sort of allergic reaction to something, they are unsure of what it is. I am on steroids for the next 10 days. I am so hoping that they kick in like the Doc says, as this itching is driving me crazy! Its not a contagious rash, so I wasn’t able to get the night off…bummer! So off to work I went, spots and all! As soon as I got home I filled the tub with tepid water and opened a pack of oatmeal bath stuff, that is suppose to help aid in relieving the itching and hopped in. I even went so far to research some other things I could possible use and found that seaweed powder may just help as well. I think I will skip that and stick with the oatmeal, as it sounds much more pleasant. I will say, that it does help out tremendously! As well as slathering on the lotion that has an oatmeal colloidal base to it as well. So I just may start smelling like oatmeal! LOL
