Working out

I need to invest in some exercise equipment. We will be cancelling our Y membership due to the fact I am no longer doing daycare. We are cutting back on lots of things, in order for me to continue to stay home. I would love to get a treadmill, as I have really liked walking/running on this at the Y. We do have a weight system in the basement that I suppose I could have my hubby help me with some sort of a exercise routine. I have one month before my 40th birthday and really want to be in shape.

Workout…

I went to the gym tonight with a friend. Got a good workout in. I tried the eliptical tonight, and don’t really care for that, I think I will stick with the treadmill, even tho’ I thought for sure I was going to fall off the treadmill, so I had to slow it down. I got up to 4 mph. My shins don’t hurt as much as they do when I walk the track. I may have to do this more often at the Y. I will be heading back to the Y tomorrow night with Trent. Hopefully Robyn can get a scholarship so she can come to the Y and work out with me.

I’ve got 7 weeks until the Irish Jig 5k, I want to be able to do this in 30 minutes! Go me!

Climbing the wall…

So we joined the Y this month. Time to get in shape! They have a rock climbing wall that Trent had to try out.

Me I just walk the track, 7 times around is one mile. I can do a mile in 14 minutes. I have signed up for my first 5k this coming March, so I need to get ready for that. I am pushing for a mile and a half tonight, wish me luck! I haven’t ventured onto the treadmills or elipticals yet, maybe tonight.

Shocker!

I rode my bike for the first time in over 2 years. A friend talked me into going on a bike ride. We rode 3 miles! Go me! Trent went out with us and now says I “have” to go out on the trails with him and my hubby. Um, no. I don’t think I am up for their 30 mile round trip rides! Now if I can keep this up the pounds should go down! Tomorrow and Wednesday nights we will be out walking at a few different parks with some moms from MMC.
