bikes
We have been slowly replacing the bikes that were stolen out of our garage earlier this year. The guys have theirs, and I am on the hunt for my own. I have been scouting out craigslist, but not having good luck, and checking garage sales as well.
Today I headed out to Wal-Mart, as I seen online that they had a bike on sale for $47.77. I get to the store, and no bikes were that price. I did find a pretty purple one for $68.76, I get it wheeled up to the checkout area, with my other purchases, only to find out it rang up at at $98.76. I told them, nope its on sale for $68. They make the calls back to the department, and they say nope, wrong bike. I told the cashier then I didn’t want the bike for that price, as that was false advertising. He takes it off my order, I go through swiping my card, proceed to the credit part of the sale, sign the little box, and hit ok, only to have it freeze up, as they had to wait for a CSM to come and override the transaction, as the void was over $50, but with me being at the back of the store in the garden department it was going to be a wait. At this point I am getting aggravated, and told them to just forget it, and proceed to walk out of the store, they tried to stop saying it won’t be that long of a wait. Yeah right, this is Wal-Mart there is always a wait! I left and headed to K-Mart.
They had bikes on sale for $69. I looked at the bikes they had in the front, and none were that price. Head to the back of the store, and see none there. Stop a worker to see if they have any in the back; nope. I stopped at the Customer service area to have them call the other store (across town mind you, don’t want to drive, what with the price of gas these days.), and of course they have none!
How can both stores have none, when its the first day of the sale??? I am so aggravated at this point I go home with no bike. I just want a bike, that’s not going to cost me a fortune!
