Weekend recap

Friday I had the day off, so nice! I went to some garage sales with Robyn. We didn’t find anything, but had a nice time anyways. When I got home there was an email from my hubby asking if Trent would want to go to a Griffin’s game (local hockey team). So that’s where they went, and I headed back out with Robyn and Erica to some more garage sales and dress shopping for Erica. The garage sales were… eh. Erica did find a really cute dress to wear to her school prom (she was a chaperone). I found a cute swimsuit for $20! After last years struggle to find one, it was so nice to try one the first one and actually like it!

Saturday ~ more garage sales, still found nothing. I did book a party for Tastefully Simple… I am a sucker for parties! The rain moved in, thus ending our shopping time. We did stop in at a second hand shop to look at some end tables. I found a few I like, so now I have to drag the hubby in to see what he thinks. I had to get things down for the baby shower I was throwing for church, so home I went. First I had to get in a nap, a must thing to do on a rainy day! Finished everything from the diaper cake to the chicken salad.

Sunday ~ Church - I had nursery duty. We ended up with 8 kids in there today. Yikes! We usually only have 2 or 3, so it was a busy morning. As soon as the last one got picked up, we quickly got things cleaned up so I could have over to the kitchen area to get things ready for the shower. We had a nice turn out, and the mom to be received many nice things! Can’t wait to meet this precious baby girl!

Working out and updates…

Its been a while since an update on what’s been going on here in Saladinoland…

I have semi joined a gym. I haven’t bit the bullet and signed up for a full membership as of yet, but have signed up for a 6 week class at Fit Zone for Women. We have just finished up 3 weeks, and I have lost 3#’s and an inch off my waist, half an inch off my hips and I think it was 3/4 inch off my thighs. My arm I gained an half inch, but that is the norm they say. This time around I am soooo glad that I didn’t “gain” anything in the boob area! LOL The last time we did a 21 day study and I gained 2 inches there, and I was so bummed, they are big enough as it is! I am hoping by the end of this trial, we will have enough set aside so I can pay up front for a year at the gym. I am enjoying my time there. I wish they would have the yogalates class in the evening as I have enjoyed the last 2 classes I have gone to this week (I don’t have the little girl during the day this week, so I have been going to the gym in the morning as soon as I drop the others off at school.)

Christopher is back in college, thankfully. Trent will be getting ready for Cross Country to start back up in a month or so. We have a parent meeting this coming Monday with the different high schools in the area. Right now he is in a charter school, so we have to figure out which high school to send him to as the district we are in, he WILL NOT go to! We are hoping for the same one Christopher graduated from. John is still busy at work, thankfully, playing the guitar at church, and in the process of building another one!

Me, I am still doing daycare and will have a new baby starting on Monday. She turns 6 weeks old this week. I met with her and mom yesterday, and could have held her all afternoon. So I will be busy with a new one again.

Well that’s it for now, hope you have a blessed day!
