Weekend in Review
Weekend rewind. If you want to play along, grab the above button and tell me all about your weekend!
Friday ~ Started off with an unexpected day off, so I decided to surprise my hubby with a lunch date. We went to Red Robin… Yum! I dropped him back off at work, then headed off to the library before it was time to pick up Trent from school. The rest of the night was spent trying to figuring out where the leak was in our bathroom. We now have a nice size hole in the wall behind the tub (thankfully with the dryer back in place it hides it until John can patch it back up. Luckily there were no busted pipes, the water was getting behind the water nozzle, so John caulked it. That was the extent of what was done for the night, as John had several phone calls to return.
Saturday ~ John and Trent went to drum lessons, then went over to a friends to watch them practice – Trent was thrilled, as he got to watch Denny on the drums. I made some cookies, and worked on Trent’s blanket. The guys came home with another friend in tow, to help with the ceiling. I went back to Jo-Ann’s to get a couple more yards of fabric to work on yet another blanket (I think I am addicted!). The rotted part was cut out, new 2 x 4′s and drywall put up. By that time, it was after 8, and John needed to practice for a bit for church. While he practiced, I spent the night cutting out squares of fabric.
Sunday ~ Church was really good, I think finally a break through was made (or about to) with John. John and Trent played some Wii after lunch, then took a short nap before the mudding began on the ceiling in the kitchen. I worked on a blanket and or read for the day/night.
