Weekend in Review

Friday ~ Not much went on today, did my normal school runs, was done working by 3:30. John was getting ready to leave work, when a job came in, and ended up working until 8. Sigh The overtime will be nice, but dang!
Saturday ~ Took Trent to drum lessons, then went and looked at some cars, test drove a van. John then did some research on cars to see what would be the best buy for us. Hopefully taxes will be done and back soon, so we can get tires for the truck and turn in the lease.
John and I had a date night; we went to dinner at Outback Steakhouse. We had time to kill before the movie, so we headed over to Barnes & Noble. What a nightmare! They recently moved to a new location, for them it was a great retail move, but as for parking… not so much. It took forever to find a spot. We browsed for a little while, not the same quiet place it used to be. It is now attached to a mall, so its busier than ever. Off to the movies. We went and saw “The Book of Eli”. Great movie!!
Sunday ~ was church, out to lunch, then home for the day. I decided to break out the sewing machine and work on a baby blanket. It was a lot easier to do than I thought it would be. You can see the blanket here. Then it was some TV time, then bed.
