Week in Review

The purpose of this meme is to record a weekly memoir of your life to look back on for your own personal reflection/enjoyment and for your children/grandchildren to enjoy and learn from your experiences. Don’t you wish your parents/grandparents had left something like this for you?? I do!! Feel free to answer all or any…whatever you want to share and record, and feel free to add any subject I may have overlooked.
Head on over to Taking the Challenge to link up
Sunday Sermon ~ our service was a little different today. We celebrated our Pastor’s wife’s 60th birthday today, so we honored her with a slide show, and then a luncheon afterwards.
Life lessons ~
Favorite Meal(s) ~ strawberry & banana creme pancakes from Bob Evans - oh my, heavenly!
Treasured Moment(s) ~ spending some time with my hubby this week, after this week he is back to work
Simple Pleasures ~ laughing with Cohen, raspberry cheesecake
Impacting News
National ~ Former Bush Spokesman/ Fox News Sunday Anchor Tony Snow Died of cancer
Local ~
Personal ~
Things I Read ~ my devotional book, no books on the shelf waiting to be read yet
Movies We Watched ~ none this week
Interesting Internet ~ Stacy Clack Photography, I found this blog and love her pictures. One of her photo shoots was of a friends little boy, and I plan on going to the place she took these photos at, so I can get a few photos of my friends kids, to get my own portfolio started!!
Talked with ~ Robyn (of course), and Jeanine - we have her party finally scheduled
Places We Went ~ Brigg’s pool, Olive Garden with friends on Friday for lunch - mmmm
Budget Savers/Busters Buster & Saver: ~ saver - I love 49 cent sale at the Salvation Army night. I got a pair of khaki shorts and a cute dress for a whopping $1.04!! This has been a huge saver for me, as I can continue my love of shopping and not put us in the poor house while I am not working. I have gotten a lot of cute clothes for next to nothing. My best find was a few weeks ago when I got a pair of Lee jeans for 49 cents!! They were in perfect condition!!
Blessings ~ honoring Pastor Judy’s birthday, what a wonderful woman of God she is!
Challenges ~ getting my laptop back up and running after doing a recovery scan! Ugh!
Accomplishments ~ see above
Family Happenings ~ we had a lazy week for our vacation this past week
Tried Something New* ~
Photos ~ I didn’t take any photos this week, something must be wrong with me!!

Love Stacey Clark’s photos…thanks for sharing the link. I’ll look forward to seeing your work.
WTG on those great buys!!!
Glad you were able to save your computer…uuughhh to computer problems
How wonderful for your church to honor your pastor’s wife in such a lovely way.
Okay the moss stitch: You start your first two rows with knit stitches, the pearl one, knit one for the rest of the row. The next two rows you start with the purl stitch, then knit one and purl one for the rest of the row. It makes a neat checkered like stitch.
The rib stitch is actually similar in that you alternate the knit and purl stitches, but depending on how wide your want your rib you could alternate 4 knits 2 purls as opposed to knit one purl one.
Do you knit?
Have a great week…and thanks for joining in the WIR fun!
