My Life as Mama Jodi

Seriously, it has to end… NOW! I woke up to another 2-3 inches dumped on us, with the news report of 2 - 5 more inches by 4 this afternoon. I took the kids to school, which was a slow ride as I got stuck behind someone who proceeded to go 5 mph. I know the roads are slippery, but not that slippery for you to go that slow. This would cause an accident in itself! Then off to the grocery store, made a small dent in our checkbook, stopped at the gas station filled up the truck, went through the drive thru to get my fountain pop, back into the driveway, open the door, I had one foot out the door, and down I went. I don’t know how I missed not hitting my head on the edge of the truck. I was flat on my back and my pop was all over the snowy ground. That’s what hurt the most.. LOL ~ no seriously, my back/hip/shoulder all on the left side hurts. I got all the groceries in and then loaded up on some pain meds, got out the heating pad.

He totally surprised me last night!  I was gone for a few hours last night, meeting with my Pastor’s wife… great talk with her.  Its funny as we talked a little bit on the topic of my “control issues”,  and mentioned the dishes,  as I am very anal about the way they are put away.  Well I get home to find my kitchen totally cleaned up!  I was expecting to come home to a mess from them getting dinner on their own.   I am going to have to either email her real quick today to tell her what happened, or try and remember on Sunday.

He took care of all the dishes (that I had washed earlier), and even washed up what they  used as well.  I will be later today, putting things in their rightful spots tho.   I found this morning that things weren’t where they were supposed to be, took me a bit to find the sandwich containers while making lunches.  But bless his heart for doing this!  Its not very often I come home to a clean house that he has taken the time to do!

Then what did I do once I got home, messed it all up.. LOL  I had to boil a chicken, so it would be ready for me today for the homemade chicken noodle soup I am making for dinner.  My menu for the week has been totally messed up!  Oh well!  I even have homemade noodles, that were made with my own two hands!  I am so excited!

I have been taking a cooking class from one of the ladies from church for a few weeks now.  I love to cook/bake, but can always use some pointers!  Her class is called “Simply Scratch”, and it is definitely all scratch, right down to the noodles we made last week!  She is such a sweet lady!  We are off this week, but next Saturday is all about breakfast!  She is going to teach us a few things, and the one I am most excited about is making omelets. I can’t make those to save my life!  Then sometime she is going to have some cake decorating classes, that I am excited for as well!  All this knowledge for free!  FREE!  I have been wanting to take a cake decorating class for some time, but just don’t have the $$ to go to the classes!  She has been a blessing!

There, you must turn onto the Bridge of Faith , which is over troubled water.

When you get off the bridge, make a Right turn and Keep Straight. You are on the King’s Highway - Heaven-bound.

Keep going for three miles: One for the Father, One for the Son, and One for the Holy Ghost.

Then exit off onto Grace Blvd.

From there, make a Right turn on Gospel Lane. Keep Straight and then make another Right on Prayer Road

As you go on your way, Yield Not to the traffic on Temptation Ave.

Also, avoid SIN STREET because it is a DEAD END.

Pass up Envy Drive , and Hate Avenue .Also, pass Hypocrisy Street , Gossiping Lane , and Backbiting Blvd.

However, you have to go down Long-suffering Lane , Persecution Blvd. And Trials and Tribulations Ave.

But that’s all right, because VICTORY Street is straight ahead!

I have found a really cool site to get some wholesale fashion jewelry! I know where I am going to get some gifts for my nieces come this Christmas. They have necklaces, bracelets, ear rings, watches, pins, pendants. They have religious jewelry too, pages and pages of them. I could spend hours on this site, and still not see everything.

My mother in law loves posters, mainly anything to do with Harry Potter, but there are times she has us look for rare movie posters for her. I would love to find some Elvis posters for her, from back in his early movie career. Then maybe we can steer her away from her beloved Harry Potter.  But then again, I don’t see this happening for a long time to come.
