Its tax time! What are you going to do with your refund? I would love to get a new plasma tv, and then of course we would need a new plasma tv mount for it. I keep pricing them, and have found a few I like. Now to convince the hubby that we need one. We need to get ready for the big switch over from analog to digital, so I am not without my TV. He thinks we should just do without the TV, but that’s just not going to happen… I am to addicted! Then whatever is left over will be put up into savings.

…didn’t start out all that great. I knew the kids weren’t going to have school, as we were hit with a lovely blizzard/flash freeze the night before. And Trent’s school has started this recorded call to alert you of a “no school” day. I deliberately turned off the ringer on the phone, so I could sleep in just a bit before I got the hubby up for work. Well little did I know my hubby had the other cordless phone downstairs and had the ringer on. We got the phone call a few minutes before six saying school was closed. So I was up for the day. I noticed it was still cold in the house… we have a programmable thermostat, so I have it set for sleep mode until 5:30 at 62 degrees. Well a little after six, it still says 62 and system on. I knew something was wrong. I had my hubby look at it before he got in the shower. The furnance would kick on, just wouldn’t engage the flame for the heat.

I called the heating guys promptly at 8, only to get told the guys were in a meeting and would get back to me soon. Ugh! I waited and waited and waited, all the while seeing the temp drop in the house. Brrrr They finally called back and said they would have some one out soon, I was 3rd in line.

So here I sat with one blanket around my shoulders, an electric blanket on my legs, and another one on top of that. I was still cold! I don’t think I moved from the couch but once! And that was to go to the bathroom, and Lordy was that cold!

They finally got out to the house around 2, to find that we had a plugged intake valve. We have this disconneted right now, as we (and he) can’t get to the valve on the outside, as it is under the deck, and buried in the snow. But was told that it would be ok to leave it disconnected for now. It would just be noisy downstairs. He was here for less than 15 minutes, and charged us an arm and a leg!

The temp has finally started to climb in the house, we did get down to a very chilly 54 degrees! I am not buried under all the blankets anymore, just one. Days like this makes me really want to move out of Michigan!

I went to the gym tonight with a friend. Got a good workout in. I tried the eliptical tonight, and don’t really care for that, I think I will stick with the treadmill, even tho’ I thought for sure I was going to fall off the treadmill, so I had to slow it down. I got up to 4 mph. My shins don’t hurt as much as they do when I walk the track. I may have to do this more often at the Y. I will be heading back to the Y tomorrow night with Trent. Hopefully Robyn can get a scholarship so she can come to the Y and work out with me.

I’ve got 7 weeks until the Irish Jig 5k, I want to be able to do this in 30 minutes! Go me!

1. What famous person would you most like to have dinner with (living or dead) and what would you ask him/her? I would love to have dinner with Denzel Washington… and I don’t think I would ask him anything, as I would be to busy drooling… oh my!

2. What do you enjoy blogging about the most? “meeting” so many wonderful ladies out there in blogland… and that I can make a little bit of money on the side as well.

3. What is your favorite kind of candy? I love anything chocolate… give me a Milky Way and I will be happy.. LOL

4. Which sibling or relative are you closest to? What makes you close? Similiar interests? Or are you completely opposite? I’m not really close to any of my siblings, so I guess the next one in line would by my cousin Tammy. What makes us close? we have similar views on things, and more alike than I think either of us care to admit.

Have you heard about these kind of adjustable beds? Not only do they adjust to different heights, you can get them with a built in massage feature as well! How cool is that? I know that if Trent sees these, he will want one for sure. He is already bugging us for an adjustable bed as it is. If it would help my hubby to have a better nights sleep, then I just might have to look into this, as backaches aren’t all that fun.

…to Vegas one of these days, not so much for the gambling, as I don’t like to part with my money. I have been checking on prices for Vegas hotels. I would like to check out some shows and do some sight seeing. I was out there over 20 years ago, but just for a very short visit. I wonder if I could convince John into taking a mini vacation for our anniversary that’s coming up in March. We need some time away just the two of us.

Time again to use your imagination ;-} Fill in the blanks.

1. While on vacation in Europe I decided to visit an old landmark Inn at the top of the cliffs. The Inn was the place to stay for the rich and famous during the turn of the 20th century. As I rode along the winding road up to the top I noticed all the beautiful scenery that God had created.

2. Gathering my senses I continued to the Inn grounds and drove the long unkept driveway to the now abandoned building. Stepping out of my car I walked to the door and found that no one was there.

3. Entering the enormous lobby I walked to the desk and opened an old falling apart guest register and as I was reading the list of guests who were part of the past of this once famous Inn I thought I heard people talking in the other room, so I went to go look and there was noone there.

4. Leaving this lonely ghostly place with a smile on my face I thought to myself “it was only my imagination playing tricks on me.”
