Time Travel Tuesday ~ fraidy cat edition
This week we will travel back something scary…. Annie says:
“Travel back to the last time you were really scared!
Were you afraid to look under the bed when you were little, or even now?
When is the last time you remember being very scared?”

The time I was really scared was several winters ago. I had just dropped Christopher off at my cousin’s for daycare and was on my way to work when I hit an icy patch on the road and started sliding. I tried to over correct this and ended up doing a couple of 360′s barely missing a huge pine tree and coming to a complete stop with in an inch of a telephone pole. I thought for sure I was a gonner!
I sat there for quite a while, trying to calm myself down before I got out to go walk back to the nearest house to see if anyone was home to call work to let them know I would be very late, or if at all if I was coming in. Then onto the next phone calls of calling someone to come get me. I finally got a hold of my uncle who came and got my car out of the ditch and towed it to my parents house which was closer than trying to take it back to my house (30 miles away).
I was so thankful that Christopher wasn’t in the car with me, as I would have probably been more hysterical than I was.

I would have been hysterical, too! I’ve never driven in snow or ice, and I don’t have any idea how to do it! Those spins must have been sooo scary!

Driving on ice can be crazy, especially if there are others driving too
