Christmas Tour of homes ~ ’07
Boo Mama is hosting the Christmas Tour of Homes again this year. So be sure to visit her blog to find all the blogs who have opened their homes to us all!!
Welcome to my home, grab a cup of cocoa and some cookies and enjoy the tour of my lovely home!
My tree all decked out
My animated figures… Tigger, Piglet, Santa and Frosty
a cute little bear that pops up out of its bag, my card holder and of course Santa Pooh
Our stockings that I am finally able to hang up!!
My snowman that changes colors with fiber optic lights
A few of my favorite ornaments:
This one is from my inlaws ~ the top animals are opossums ~ she saw that and had to get it.
There is a running joke between me and my Father in law about opossums.
This one I made way back in 4th or 5th grade at one of my Camp Fire Girls meeting.
This one my mother in law gave me last year ~ so nice to know that my mother in law loves me like a daughter!
And last but not least, my kitty. ? She’s thinking of how she can get in the tree
Some of the cookies that will be made for our holiday celebrations this year… Yum!
Peanut Butter Temptations
About 40 mini peanut butter cups
? cup (1 stick) butter or margarine, softened
? cup sugar
? cup brown sugar, packed
? cup peanut butter
1 egg
? tsp vanilla
1 ? cup flour
? tsp baking soda
? salt
Heat oven to 375. Remove wrappers from candies. Line small muffin pan with liners. Beat butter, both sugars, peanut butter, egg and vanilla until fluffy in large bowl. Stir together flour, salt and baking soda; gradually add to butter mixture, beating until well blended. Shape dough into 1 inch balls, place one in each muffin cup. DO NOT flatten. Bake 10-12 minutes, or until puffed and lightly browned; remove from oven. Immediately press candy into center of each cookie.
Makes about 3 ? dozen.
