Saturday fun
Today I spent the day up in Cedar Springs for the Red Flannel Festival. It was unseasonably warm today. We had highs close to 90 and very, very humid. So not October weather at all! I again got fried, forgot the sunscreen again!
We went up to the craft show they had going on and I am going to make this, it looks simple enough.
We did some walking around in town, checking out the booths, then back to our seats to watch the parade. I bought this cool water toy. It is made out of surgical hose, with some clamps. You fill it with water to where it stretches out and looks like one of those long skinny balloons. You open the clamp and the water squirts out, so much fun! I don’t have a pic of it right now, I will try and remember to get a pic of it tomorrow. The kids have fun getting soaked with them. The guy we bought them from, allowed us to go back and fill up as needed. I am going to be having fun with this toy next summer!!
Here are a few pics from today.

We used to go to this when we lived in Rockford! Wow, that’s very hot for flannel. Cute photos.

[...] Red Flannel Day ~ is always the first Saturday in Cedar Springs, MI. When I was still in school I went every year, making sure I wore red so I wouldn’t get nabbed by the Keystone Cops and thrown in jail. Then I moved from the area and didn’t go for quite a few years. I just recently started going again with a friend and my SIL and nieces. We have lots of fun walking around and then watching the parade. You can see some pics of this years event here. [...]
